This is a 55/45 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtiko, aged for 12 months in new 500-liter barrels (American oak, made by Seguin-Moreau). Despite the significant barrel aging, at least for this style of wine, this shows quite beautifully and handles its oak rather well. A bit creamy on opening, admittedly, it also has good acidity, fine focus and bite on the finish. As it airs out, the oak fades further into the background. Given the hefty Sauvignon Blanc component, its aromatics are rather controlled. Robert Parkers The Wine Advocate 90 POINTS. Drink 2015- 2019 (2013 vintage).
