Aidarini Winery

Single Vineyard

Aidarini Winery Single Vineyard 2012. The Aidarini Single Vineyard is a 60/40 field blend of Xinomavro and Negoska.  All harvest from this very low yielding is done manually and the berries are hand sorted. The wine spends 22 months in French oak, half of which is new. This is an extremely complex wine which needs some air time to show itself. A very expressive wine with notes of black olives, smoked peppers and sun dried tomatoes. On the palate it shows loads of red berries, spicy notes and chocolate. While this wine will be delicious today after some decanting, 10 years in the cellar will only improve it. Mark Squires of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate described this as “…this somewhat modern style is rather sexy, refined and tasty.” Only 500 cases produced.

Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate 90 POINTS.
