Highly aromatic wine with citrus and peaches and floral aromas of rose and jasmines. The citrus notes persist on the palate and it has an orange peel and hints of honey on the finish. Enough acidity to keep it exciting to the last sip.
“The 2015 Iama white is a 60/40 blend of Malagouzia and Assyrtiko, unoaked and dry. It comes in at 13% alcohol. The price seems to have ticked up a bit, but this is worth every penny. A bit grassy, this wine’s herbaceous tendencies are kept in check by the blend. Bright, rather concentrated for the level and very fresh, this is a perfect summer white. I’m not so sure this will last at peak so long, but right at the moment it is mightily impressive, enlivening and a fine example of its type. I’m leaning up. Drink it young. 2016-2020”
